MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace said on Tuesday that it was different than President Donald Trump “to end it with the military” in his second term during an interview with the night host, Stephen Colbert.
Wallace argued that there was no “normal Republicans” in the current administration of Trump and said “what is different from Stephen Miller who made ice raids, and that basically a siege of Los Angeles, is that there is no Mark Espered, Jim Mattis, and this is the big difference, and that’s the danger.”
Colbert asked Wallace about the National Guard troops and the sailors who have been sent to Los Angeles to help reduce the riots.
“We’ve seen Trump stretch his presidential powers for the past five months. Is it different?”
“You feel different, you feel different, can we swear here?” He asked, as Colbert said he could.
“For the Alon with the army, he feels really different, and he wanted in the first time, but people like Mark Milley, people stopped him. They feel really different to use the military as pawns aloud and as a public tactic. This feels different from me.”
A battalion of 700 American sailors mobilize in Los Angeles to respond to immigration riots, a few days after Trump also deployed the National Guard in the area.
White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson responded on Tuesday to criticism of Trump’s actions, saying -to Fox News Digital that “violent turns in Los Angeles, skills by the Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom, have attacked the application of North -American Law, cars have been burned down and promoted chaos without law.”
“President Trump rightly intervened to protect federal law officers. When Democratic leaders refuse to protect North -American citizens, President Trump will always come in,” he added.
Colbert also asked Wallace about the state of the Democratic Party and asked MSNBC’s host if they were “in danger of an autocrat.”
“ I don’t know, and I think, in politics, you are a leader far from a comeback, you are a moody character of this unlikely hero. And I think the Democratic Party has not been able to do. I mean that the Democratic Party has not corrupted itself, it has not become itself the way the Republican party. Following Trump and its authoritarian ways, ” he said.

Wallace previously made headlines earlier this year while covering Trump’s address in Congress, during which the President made a 13 -year -old cancer survivor DJ Daniel, an honorary agent of the secret service.
“But I think this was a lesson to find something you let you feel,” Wallace said during the address’s coverage.
“And I let myself feel joy for DJ, and I hope he is alive for another, you know, 95, and I hope he lives the life he wants to live. He wants to be a police officer. He knows what he wants to do, and maybe when you have childhood cancer, this crystallizes for you.”
“I hope he has a long life as a law agent,” he continued.
“But I hope he never has to defend the Capitol of the United States against Donald Trump’s supporters, and if he does, I hope he is not one of the six to lose his life to commit suicide, and I hope he is not what he has to testify against the people who carried out sedative conspiracy acts and then lived to see Donald Trump skating these people.”
